Gold Edges Higher as US Treasury Yields Decline Again

Gold prices rose by 0.3% to $4,357.31 per ounce on Tuesday as US Treasury yields declined.

The yield on 10-year US Treasury notes fell for a second consecutive session.

Gains in gold were limited by expectations of higher interest rates, which tend to favor assets generating returns over safe-haven investments like gold.

US Federal Reserve President Alberto Musalem stated that the central bank would likely need to raise interest rates further to curb inflation driven by strong demand and commodity price shocks.
