Hassett: Trump Team Will Respect Fed's Rate Hike Decision

National Economic Council (NEC) Director Kevin Hassett spoke to CNBC on Tuesday about the upcoming Federal Reserve decision. He stated that he and President Donald Trump will respect whatever monetary policy choice is made, regardless of its outcome.

Hassett expressed his admiration for Fed Chair Kevin Warsh, but emphasized that inflation has been decreasing recently. He also pointed out that core inflation has been at 2% in the past few months, which is why he opposes a rate hike. The Fed is expected to raise interest rates on Wednesday and twice overall this year.
