Hayes Sees $1 Million Bitcoin as Japan's Stimulus Kicks In
BitMEX co-founder Arthur Hayes is predicting that Bitcoin may surge to $1 million following Japan's announcement of economic stimulus measures. The package unveiled by Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi includes subsidies for electricity and gas charges, as well as regional grants to support small and medium-sized businesses.
Hayes believes this development will lead to increased fiat money printing by the Bank of Japan, which could catalyze Bitcoin's rise to seven figures. He also expects the Japanese yen to appreciate in value.
This is not the first time Hayes has forecasted a significant impact on Bitcoin from the Bank of Japan's monetary policies. In the past, he predicted that the central bank's pivot to quantitative easing would serve as a catalyst for Bitcoin and risk assets.
