Healwell AI's Profit Boost Fails to Lift Share Price Amid Sector-Wide Turbulence
Healwell AI's second-quarter report reveals a net profit of $6.4 million from continuing operations, a significant turnaround from last year's $4.1 million loss.
The company's revenue remained flat at $33 million for the April-to-June period compared to the same quarter in 2025, but the bottom line flipped from red to black.
The first half of fiscal 2026 shows a more dynamic story with revenue jumping 60% to $66.2 million due to the Orion Health acquisition and improved operating cash flow, which turned positive at $4.5 million compared to an outflow of $9.9 million in the same period last year.
The company trimmed its growth forecast for the Data Science & AI segment to 13 million Canadian dollars for the full year, attributing this to the divestment of subsidiary Mutuo and a less favorable revenue mix.
