Households Hit Hard by Government Spending-Driven Inflation

Australia's households are shouldering the burden of inflation due to the country's high government spending, according to business commentator David Koch and News24 host Chris Kenny.

Koch wrote a letter to Reserve Bank governor Michele Bullock urging her to identify the source of inflationary pressure, stating that 'a meaningful slice' of it is not generated in shopping centers but rather in cabinet rooms.

Kenny agreed with Koch's assessment, saying Australian families are struggling and feeling the pain due to Labor's unchecked spending.

'The RBA will use its blunt instrument of interest rates, the only tool it has, and working families will feel the pain,' Kenny said. 'It's families struggling to balance the books over the kitchen table that feel the pain when the problem is wild spending from the Albanese Labor government.'
