i-payout Expands US Licensing Footprint, Pursues European EMI License
i-payout, a Florida-based global payments technology firm, is expanding its U.S. money transmitter licensing portfolio and pursuing a European Electronic Money Institution (EMI) license. This move aims to boost its global payment network, particularly for businesses in the gig economy, gaming, esports, affiliate networks, insurance, and clinical research organizations.
The company recently received approval from Puerto Rico's Office of the Commissioner of Financial Institutions for its Money Services Business license, marking a significant milestone in its U.S. regulatory expansion during 2026. i-payout is working towards completing all required U.S. money transmitter licenses by the end of 2027.
The broader licensing strategy aims to increase the number of markets i-payout can serve directly, reduce dependence on intermediaries, and offer enterprise customers enhanced flexibility in structuring and delivering payment services across domestic markets.
