India-Canada CEPA Talks Enter New Phase Amid Planned Business Mission
India and Canada are stepping up their economic engagement as negotiations for a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) enter another phase. The fifth round of talks is scheduled to begin in Ottawa on October 5.
The Canadian Trade Minister, Maninder Sidhu, will lead a business delegation of nearly 300 representatives to India later this month. This mission aims to help Canadian companies explore commercial opportunities, establish partnerships, and expand their presence across various sectors of the Indian economy.
The CEPA talks aim to create a broader framework for trade and investment between the two countries. They cover areas that can influence the movement of goods, services, investment, and business activity between the markets.
