India's services exports have reached a record high of USD 421.3 billion in FY 2025-26, driven primarily by telecommunications, computer and information services, and business services.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) data shows that telecommunications, computer and information services accounted for USD 206.6 billion, contributing 49.03 per cent to the total services exports, while business services contributed USD 124.2 billion, or 29.5 per cent.

The government is pursuing a multi-pronged strategy to strengthen services exports by addressing sector-specific challenges and promoting trade through Free Trade Agreements (FTAs).

Recent FTAs with countries such as Australia, New Zealand, Oman, the United Kingdom, and the European Union contain provisions covering cross-border digital services, commercial presence, and temporary movement of professionals.
