Indian Rupee Trades Flat Ahead of Weaker-than-Expected NFP Data
The Indian Rupee (INR) is trading flat against the US Dollar (USD) as investors await the release of July's Nonfarm Payrolls (NFP) data. The USD/INR pair has been hovering near Thursday's high at 95.27, with some analysts expecting a softer employment number.
According to TD Securities, the ADP Employment Change data for July was weaker than expected, moderating to 44k. While this doesn't necessarily translate to the official NFP data, it suggests that job gains may be lower than anticipated.
The US economy is expected to have created around 80K fresh jobs in July, with the Unemployment Rate remaining steady at 4.2%. Average Hourly Earnings are also seen growing at a pace of 0.3% monthly and 3.5% yearly.
