India's IT Software Exports Reach $239 Billion in 2025-26
India's IT software exports have reached new heights, according to data released by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Friday. The country's total IT software export services, including those delivered by foreign affiliates of Indian companies, increased by 9.5% during financial year 2025-26 to touch $239.3 billion.
The exports of software services, excluding sales through overseas commercial presence, rose by 8.2% year-on-year to $221.4 billion in the same period. Computer services continued to dominate India's total software services exports, accounting for more than two-thirds of the country's total.
The United States remained the major destination for Indian software exports with a share of 54.1%, followed by European countries where the UK had a significant share of 15.4%. The US dollar was the principal invoicing currency, accounting for 72.6% of total transactions.
