Inflation Risks Materialize in Australia: RBA
RBA Governor Michele Bullock says inflation risks are materializing in Australia, and another rate hike may be necessary.
The Reserve Bank's concerns about inflation have come to fruition, driven by factors such as the Middle East conflict, AI boom, and extreme weather events.
Bullock stated that some of these upside risks to inflation appear to be materializing, despite slowing growth in the Australian economy.
The RBA forecasted in August that inflation would return to its target range by 2027, but developments since then suggest it may overshoot or undershoot this target.
