Iran Releases Official Exchange Rates as Currency Values Shift
The Central Bank of Iran (CBI) has announced its official exchange rates for foreign currencies as of September 29. According to the CBI, 42 currencies appreciated in value compared to September 28, while four depreciated.
The value of one US dollar stood at 1,736,609 rials on September 29, up from 1,728,507 rials a day earlier. Meanwhile, one euro was valued at 1,974,001 rials, slightly higher than its previous rate of 1,971,536 rials.
The CBI has adopted the SANA system for currency exchange offices, with one euro costing 1,974,001 rials and $1 costing 1,736,609 rials. In contrast, on the black market, $1 is worth around 2.44-2.47 million rials, while one euro is valued at 2.77-2.80 million rials.
