Iran Releases Updated Currency Exchange Rates for October 5
The Central Bank of Iran (CBI) has announced the official exchange rates for foreign currencies as of October 5, 2026. According to the latest figures, the value of 45 currencies increased while 1 currency decreased compared to October 4. Notably, the US dollar (USD) was valued at 1,762,815 rials, slightly down from 1,757,542 rials the previous day. Meanwhile, the euro (EUR) appreciated to 1,983,801 rials, up from 1,978,132 rials.
Other significant exchange rates included the British pound (GBP) at 2,332,915 rials, the Swiss franc (CHF) at 2,124,465 rials, and the Kuwaiti dinar (KWD) at 5,706,961 rials. The CBI has adopted the SANA system for currency exchange offices, where the official rates differ from those on the black market. For instance, on the black market, $1 is worth approximately 2,72-2,75 million rials, and one euro is valued at 3,03-3,06 million rials.
