Iran's Central Bank Updates Exchange Rates for Foreign Currencies
The Central Bank of Iran (CBI) has announced updated exchange rates for various foreign currencies as of September 12. The CBI reported that 33 currencies appreciated in value compared to September 10, while 13 others depreciated.
The official rate for $1 is now 1,634,132 rials, up from 1,629,244 rials on September 10. The euro has also seen a slight increase, with one euro valued at 1,894,334 rials, compared to 1,896,018 rials previously.
The CBI uses the SANA system for currency exchange offices, which sets the rate for $1 at 1,634,132 rials and one euro at 1,896,018 rials. In contrast, on the black market, $1 is worth approximately 2.36-2.39 million rials, while one euro costs around 2.74-2.77 million rials.
