Iraq Secures Regular Dollar Shipments from US Following Trump Meeting

Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Faleh Al-Zaidi secured an agreement with US authorities to receive regular shipments of physical US dollar cash, following a meeting between Al-Zaidi and President Donald Trump in New York.

The deal was confirmed by government spokesperson Haider Al-Aboudi, who stated that high-level diplomatic contacts helped unblock logistical pipelines for foreign currency transfers to the Central Bank of Iraq.

A new shipment of physical dollar currency is expected to arrive in Baghdad within days, replenishing sovereign foreign exchange reserves and stabilizing domestic market liquidity.
