Japan Funds Mongolian Airport Expansion with ¥150 Billion Loan
The Japanese government has agreed to provide Mongolia with a preferential loan of approximately 150 billion yen to modernize the 'Chinggis Khaan' International Airport.
The airport, which began operations in 2021 with a Japanese loan of over 65 billion yen, is currently experiencing passenger flow overload due to significant increases in traffic since its opening.
The expanded infrastructure will include parking for large aircraft and terminal facilities, aiming to ensure comfortable service for the growing number of passengers.
