Japan Inflation Rate Holds Steady Amid Rising Costs
Japan's annual inflation rate held steady in August 2026, remaining at its highest level since December 2025. According to data released on TradingView, Japan's inflation rate stayed at 1.9% for the month of August.
This marks a seventh consecutive month where core inflation, which excludes fresh food, has remained below the Bank of Japan's target of 2%. Core inflation eased to 1.7% in August from 1.8% in July.
