Japan Logistics Fund Secures Green Loans for Hyogo Tojo Logistics Center Acquisition
Japan Logistics Fund has secured green loans from Resona Bank and Mizuho Bank to finance the acquisition of the Hyogo Tojo Logistics Center. The new borrowings, totaling several billion yen, also refinance short-term debt nearing maturity for the company.
The decision shifts part of the funding for the Hyogo Tojo facility from cash on hand to a mix of borrowings and internal funds. This move extends debt maturities and supports portfolio growth in key logistics hubs.
The green loans are structured under JLF's Green Finance Framework and qualify under criteria tied to the Bank of Japan's climate-related financing operations. This enables preferential interest terms while aligning with ESG-focused lenders and investors.
By expanding green financing, JLF aims to integrate expected sustainability standards into its asset management. This reinforces its positioning as an environmentally conscious logistics REIT and potentially enhances long-term funding stability.
