Japanese Carmakers Bet on Stable Yen Amid Ongoing Support
Japan's carmakers are looking ahead to the coming months and assuming that the yen will trade near current levels against the US dollar. This view is based on forecasts issued by Toyota Motor Corp., Nissan Motor Co., and others, which they used when setting their profit and sales outlooks for the fiscal year through March 2027.
The forecast assumes a currency rate of ¥150 to ¥160 per dollar, which matches the current market value of approximately ¥157.7 as of Thursday.
