Japan's Bond Yield Hits 30-Year High Amid Global Market Rout
The Bank of Japan's benchmark 10-year government bond yield has reached its highest level since 1996, joining a global market selloff. The yield rose to 3.075% on Thursday after the Silver Week holidays, a 10 basis point increase from the previous day.
The five-year rate also climbed, rising by 9.5 basis points to 2.37%. This development comes as the global market continues its downward trend, with investors increasingly seeking safe-haven assets.
