Japan's Private-Sector Wages Hit Record High
A new record for average private-sector wages in Japan has been set, according to data from the National Tax Agency.
The figure of 4.87 million yen is a 1.9% increase over last year and marks the fifth consecutive annual rise.
Bonuses also saw a second consecutive annual increase, reaching an average of about 750,000 yen.
