Jetstar Japan Co. has introduced a pair of nearly all-white Airbus A321LR aircraft at Narita International Airport, catching the attention of aviation enthusiasts. The unusual livery, described as a "blank slate," was adopted due to a last-minute brand overhaul announced in February. The planes, which lack company logos or markings, are operating on popular domestic and international routes while the airline transitions to a new identity.

The 232-seat Airbus A321LRs arrived from a German factory on October 29 and 31, 2026. Jetstar Japan, established in 2011 with backing from Japan Airlines and Qantas Group, is preparing to rebrand after the Development Bank of Japan takes over management. The white paint scheme allows for easy repainting once the new brand is revealed around January 2027, though some orange accents remain from the previous livery.

The airline is also temporarily repainting its existing 180-seat A320 aircraft to conceal the Jetstar logo. "I hope the new brand's aircraft design will be based on a white color scheme," said Yasuyuki Ogiwara, Jetstar Japan's head of engineering. The unusual paint schemes are drawing attention as the carrier prepares for its rebranding.
