Justice Department Shuts Door on Investigation into Jerome Powell
Attorney General Todd Blanche announced on Friday that the Department of Justice will not reopen its investigation into former Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell.
The decision comes after an internal watchdog report found no evidence of criminal wrongdoing in connection with the Fed's multibillion-dollar headquarters renovation.
In a statement, Attorney General Blanche said, 'We're not reopening a criminal investigation into him.'
