Khamenei Calls for Dollar-Free Economy, Boosts Domestic Production
The Supreme Leader of Iran, Ayatollah Seyed Mojataba Khamenei, has called for boosting domestic production and phasing out the US dollar from transactions to address Iran's economic challenges.
In a message marking Government Week, which commemorates President Mohammad Ali Rajai and Prime Minister Mohammad Javad Bahonar, both assassinated in 1981, Ayatollah Khamenei pointed to the need to address inflation and other economic issues.
He emphasized that despite the challenges, including sanctions and blockades, government institutions have made efforts to provide for the people and manage energy.
