Rupee Gains Marginally Against Dollar in Interbank Trading
The Pakistani rupee appreciated by a marginal amount against the US dollar in interbank trading on Friday. The rupee closed at Rs 277.50, up 01 paisa from its previous day's closing of Rs 277.51.
In the open market, the buying and selling rates of the dollar were recorded at Rs 277.60 and Rs 278.55 respectively, according to the Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP).
The exchange rate of other major currencies against the rupee also saw a slight decrease. The Euro depreciated by Rs 0.20 and closed at Rs 323.16 compared to its previous day's closing of Rs 323.36. The Japanese Yen came down by 01 paisa and closed at Rs 1.73, while the British Pound witnessed a decrease of Rs 0.02 and closed at Rs 377.02.
