The Bank of Canada has unveiled a new design for the vertical $20 bill featuring King Charles III. This marks the first time Charles' profile will appear on Canadian paper currency, although his image has been on Canadian coins since 2023.
King Charles replaces his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, who passed away in 2022. The new design aims to reflect Canada's diverse culture and history.
