Kiwi Businesses Continue to Struggle Under National's Economic Policies
New Zealand businesses continue to struggle under National's economic policies, according to recent figures. Over the past two years, around 5,830 companies have been liquidated, including 1,516 construction companies.
Financial hardship is also on the rise, with personal loan hardship up 46% in a year and consumer defaults up 19%. Labour's finance spokesperson Barbara Edmonds stated that behind every number is someone paying the price - a family falling behind on bills or a business owner watching their livelihood disappear.
National had promised to get New Zealand back on track, but instead, jobs are harder to find, public services have been cut, and thousands of businesses have gone under. Labour claims that if this is National's idea of success, Kiwis should be seriously worried about what another three years will bring.
New Zealanders deserve better, according to Edmonds, who argues that the choice in this election is clear: more hardship under National or Labour's plan to grow the economy and help Kiwis get ahead.
