KPIT Technologies Sees Revenue Growth, But Profits Take a Hit Due to European Headwinds
KPIT Technologies, an Indian automotive software and digital mobility solutions company, reported a mixed bag of results for its first quarter (Q1) ended June 30, 2026. The company's revenue from operations rose 8.9% year-over-year (YoY) to ₹16,749.94 million, driven by currency tailwinds. However, profitability declined with EBIT margins falling to 12.3% from 17.0%, resulting in a net profit of ₹1,171.78 million, down significantly from ₹1,718.99 million YoY.
The company's European operations were impacted by headwinds, including Chinese competition and program cancellations. KPIT won $257 million in new contracts, primarily driven by connected cars, aftersales transformation, and autonomous driving solutions. The company also expanded its product portfolio with the launch of AirConsole on Tata Motors' Sierra.ev model in India.
The Board appointed Dr. Nirmala Pandit as Additional and Non-Independent Non-Executive Director for a three-year term until July 28, 2029. The company maintained a robust net cash position of ₹9.0 billion (as of March 31, 2026).
