Labour-Linked Union Boss Lands Top Spot on Bank of England Board

Chancellor John Healey has appointed Paul Nowak, the general secretary of the Trades Union Congress (TUC), to the Bank of England's Court of Directors for a four-year term. This appointment has sparked controversy among politicians and City experts.
