Lower Timeframes Add Precision to GBP/USD Reversal Setup
The GBP/USD currency pair recently broke below resistance around 1.3660 after testing it multiple times. The daily chart shows a clear rejection, but the structure of the reversal is not immediately apparent.
Lower timeframes provide additional detail and precision to the setup. Moving from the daily chart to the four-hour chart reveals that the initial push above resistance was followed by a sharp reversal and two-bar reversal around the same area.
The one-hour chart provides even more detail, with the initial move above resistance and subsequent rejection becoming much easier to see.
The additional structure on lower timeframes allows for clearer parameters and potentially improves risk/reward. The potential downside move has not changed, but the precision of entries and invalidation points can be refined.
