Marković Slams Abazović's Handling of Living Standards

Branka Marković, an MP for Europe Now, has criticized former Prime Minister Dritan Abazović's handling of living standards during his time in office. According to Marković, Abazović 'decided to deal with living standards only after he became a populist oppositionist, due to petty political points.'

Marković noted that while prices were soaring due to the war in Ukraine, Abazović failed to implement effective measures to mitigate the record price increases, which hit Montenegro by as much as 17 percent at the end of 2022. She added that his results are reflected in the data: he did not increase the minimum wage by a single euro, zero closed chapters, and record inflation.

Marković also accused Abazović of spreading panic about the sale of Elektroprivreda Crne Gore (EPCG), saying it was necessary to increase the minimum pension to 450 euros. However, she stated that this was not the case, and that current Prime Minister Milojko Spajić has increased salaries in both the private and public sectors.
