Mexican Peso Gains Ground Against Dollar Amid Moderate Risk Appetite
The Mexican peso showed signs of recovery as it appreciated against the US dollar by 0.04% to 17.4399 units per dollar.
This positive bias in the peso came amidst moderate risk appetite, despite a mixed performance on Wall Street where the Nasdaq fell 0.22%, while the S&P 500 and the Dow Jones rose 0.22% and 1.03%, respectively.
The dollar was affected by US economic data, including a lower-than-expected reading of consumer confidence at 90.8 points in July.
