Global stock markets traded mixed on Friday, following a rally on Wall Street led by technology issues. U.S. futures were also affected, with the S&P 500 rising 0.1%, while Dow Jones Industrial Average futures slipped 0.1%. Nasdaq futures, however, rose 0.5%.

The upcoming August jobs report is expected to have a significant impact on the U.S. Federal Reserve's decision on interest rates. The Labor Department will release data showing that U.S. employers added a net 65,000 jobs last month, after cutting 23,000 positions in July.

In energy trading, benchmark U.S. crude declined 0.9% to $90.49 a barrel, while Brent crude fell 0.7% to $94.84 a barrel. Both are up sharply this week, rising 8% to 9%. Diesel prices hit an all-time high for any time of the year on Friday, soaring to an average of $5.85 a gallon.
