Mixed Signals from Japanese Yen Crosses Amid Resistance
The Japanese yen crosses are sending mixed signals in technical analysis. The USD/JPY and GBP/JPY pairs are showing signs of stabilizing after recent declines, but both still face resistance nearby. In contrast, the AUD/JPY is less convincing, with downside momentum keeping the March low and lower support levels in focus.
A bearish engulfing day on Friday suggests a near-term top may be in place for the USD/JPY, although price action this week also suggests it could recoup some of its losses from that day. Three dojis have since formed, two with lower wicks showing demand above 156 and around the monthly pivot point.
The 200-day EMA and 50-day EMA are capping prices in these pairs as they move to test resistance levels.
