Naira Strengthens Marginally Against US Dollar at NAFEM

The Nigerian naira strengthened marginally against the US dollar at the Nigerian Autonomous Foreign Exchange Market (NAFEM), closing at N1,331.00/$ on September 29, 2026, compared to N1,331.50/$ the previous day.

This represents a N0.50 appreciation, or 0.04%, in the value of the naira at the official foreign exchange market, according to data from the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

In the parallel market, the naira also gained ground, with the dollar falling to N1,370.00/$ on September 30 from N1,374.00/$ the previous day.
