National and Labour Kick Off Election Campaigns with New Policies

National leader Christopher Luxon emphasized his party's commitment to 'building the future', while Labour leader Chris Hipkins aimed to capitalize on his recent public meeting where he stated he was 'just getting warmed up'.
According to the latest Ipsos Issues Monitor, New Zealanders' top concerns include the cost of living, healthcare, the economy, unemployment, and housing. While Labour is still considered most capable of managing these issues, it has seen a decline in ratings across all measures.
National's ability to tackle key concerns also tumbled, although the party made gains on healthcare and housing. The government's performance rating remains unchanged at 4.1 out of 10.
