National Bank of Canada Unveils $2.25 Billion Share Repurchase Plan
National Bank of Canada (TSX: NA) has announced its intention to launch a normal course issuer bid, which will allow it to repurchase up to 10 million of its issued and outstanding common shares for a maximum of $2.25 billion.
The bid is subject to the approval of the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions Canada and the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) and is expected to begin on or around October 9, 2026, with an end date of no later than October 8, 2027.
The actual number of common shares purchased will be at the Bank's discretion and must be made under the normal course issuer bid once all regulatory approvals are obtained.
