National, Labor Parties Launch Campaigns Ahead of New Zealand's General Election

New Zealand's two major parties have launched their campaigns for the upcoming general election. The National Party, led by Prime Minister Christopher Luxon, officially kicked off its campaign on Sunday in Auckland with a message of 'no new taxes.'

This was echoed by former Prime Minister John Key, who spoke at the event and reiterated the National Party's stance on taxation.

The opposition Labor Party also launched its campaign on Sunday, with leader Chris Hipkins unveiling his party's platform in Auckland. The launches are designed to rally party supporters and address New Zealanders' top concerns, which include the cost of living, healthcare, economy, unemployment, and housing.
