National Unveils Economic Plan to Boost Kiwi Living Standards
Conservative party National has unveiled its Economic Plan in an effort to boost New Zealand's economy and improve living standards for Kiwis. The plan aims to create more jobs, higher wages, and a more secure future by managing the country's finances responsibly.
The key measures outlined in the plan include reducing red tape, supporting innovation, delivering world-class education, driving trade and investment, and building infrastructure for the future. National claims that its economic policies have already started to bear fruit, with inflation and interest rates decreasing, and the economy growing faster than major countries such as the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and Japan.
However, National warns that a change in government could lead to more spending, taxes, and borrowing, which would reverse the economic progress made so far. The party's Finance and Economic Growth spokesperson Nicola Willis emphasizes that its plan is focused on fixing the basics and building the future by growing the economy and creating jobs.
National has also announced that it will not introduce any new taxes if elected, unlike its Labour coalition opponents who have proposed at least nine new taxes. The party's leader claims that its economic policies are working and that New Zealanders should continue with the plan that is delivering results.
