Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif addressed a meeting in Murree, where he reflected on his time in power and expressed shock at the current state of Pakistan's economy. He noted that during his tenure as prime minister, the US dollar was valued at around Rs. 100, and questioned how far the exchange rate had moved since then.

Nawaz Sharif also used the opportunity to address various issues in Azad Kashmir, including the need for better roads, hospitals, employment opportunities, promotion of tourism, laptops and scholarships for students, and the introduction of a Kisan Card. He praised those who won the recent Azad Kashmir elections and congratulated candidates who lost on their efforts.

The former prime minister also expressed disappointment over complaints he received about the conduct of some political actors during the election, particularly since his coalition partners were in power in the region. He emphasized that political differences should not turn into personal hostility and urged the protection of Azad Kashmir's traditionally peaceful political environment.
