NBP Exchange Rates Show Euro and Pound Gains on October 6
The National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) released its updated exchange rates for major foreign currencies on Tuesday, October 6, 2026. The US dollar remained stable at Rs277.45 for selling and Rs276.95 for buying, maintaining the same rates as the previous day. However, the euro saw a noticeable increase, rising to Rs311.36 for selling and Rs310.80 for buying, up from Monday’s Rs309.80 and Rs309.24, respectively.
The British pound also experienced an uptick, reaching Rs366.84 for selling and Rs366.17 for buying, compared to Rs366.08 and Rs365.42 on Monday. The UAE dirham slightly increased to Rs75.55 for selling and Rs75.41 for buying, while the Saudi riyal remained unchanged on the buying side at Rs73.77 but rose slightly on the selling side to Rs73.91 from Rs73.90.
The latest exchange rates for other currencies include the Japanese yen at Rs1.7563 for selling and Rs1.7531 for buying, and the Chinese yuan at Rs41.40 for selling and Rs41.32 for buying. The NBP also listed rates for various other currencies, though some are not available to NBP customers.
