Nepal Rastra Bank Announces Latest Foreign Exchange Rates
Nepal Rastra Bank has announced the latest foreign exchange rates for today. The central bank set the buying rate for one US dollar at Rs 153.81 and the selling rate at Rs 154.41. The euro is priced at Rs 173.09 for buying and Rs 173.77 for selling, while the pound sterling stands at Rs 203.68 for buying and Rs 204.48 for selling. Other major currencies like the Swiss franc, Australian dollar, and Canadian dollar also have their rates specified, with the Swiss franc at Rs 185.59 for buying and Rs 186.32 for selling, the Australian dollar at Rs 106.97 for buying and Rs 107.39 for selling, and the Canadian dollar at Rs 107.93 for buying and Rs 108.35 for selling.
The bank also fixed rates for lesser-traded currencies. The Japanese yen is priced at Rs 9.74 for buying and Rs 9.78 for selling per 10 yen, while the Chinese yuan is at Rs 22.94 for buying and Rs 23.03 for selling. Middle Eastern currencies such as the Saudi Arabian riyal and the UAE dirham have their rates set at Rs 40.97 and Rs 41.13 for the riyal, and Rs 41.88 and Rs 42.04 for the dirham, respectively.
Additionally, the bank provided rates for currencies like the Thai baht, Singapore dollar, and South Korean won. The Thai baht is at Rs 4.58 for buying and Rs 4.60 for selling, the Singapore dollar at Rs 120.22 for buying and Rs 120.69 for selling, and the South Korean won at Rs 11.45 for buying and Rs 11.50 for selling per 100 won. The bank noted that these rates may be revised as necessary and that commercial banks may set different rates.
For Gulf currencies, the Kuwaiti dinar is fixed at Rs 499.46 for buying and Rs 501.41 for selling, the Bahraini dinar at Rs 407.96 for buying and Rs 409.55 for selling, and the Omani rial at Rs 399.51 for buying and Rs 401.07 for selling. The Indian rupee is priced at Rs 160 for both buying and selling per 100 rupees. Updated rates are available on the central bank's website.
