Nepal Rastra Bank Sets Daily Foreign Exchange Rates for Major Currencies
The Nepal Rastra Bank has set the daily foreign exchange rates for various currencies. According to the central bank, the purchase rate for one US dollar is 153 rupees and 1 paisa, while the selling rate is 153 rupees and 61 paisas.
The same rates apply to other major currencies: Australian dollar (107 rupees and 47 paisas), Canadian dollar (108 rupees and 18 paisas), European Euro (174 rupees and 30 paisas), UK Pound Sterling (202 rupees and 78 paisas), and others.
The central bank has stated that these exchange rates can be revised at any time as needed. It is also noted that the exchange rate set by commercial banks may differ from this central bank-set rate.
