Nepal Rastra Bank Updates Exchange Rates for Major Currencies
Nepal Rastra Bank, the country's central bank, has announced the latest foreign exchange rates for major currencies as of today. The bank set the buying rate for one US dollar at Rs. 153.81, while the selling rate stands at Rs. 154.41. Similarly, the European euro has a buying rate of Rs. 173.09 and a selling rate of Rs. 173.77. The UK pound sterling is priced at Rs. 203.68 for buying and Rs. 204.48 for selling.
The Swiss franc's buying rate is Rs. 185.59, with a selling rate of Rs. 186.32. The Australian dollar is listed at Rs. 106.97 for buying and Rs. 107.39 for selling, while the Canadian dollar has a buying rate of Rs. 107.93 and a selling rate of Rs. 108.35. The Singapore dollar is priced at Rs. 120.22 for buying and Rs. 120.69 for selling.
For the Japanese yen, the buying rate is Rs. 9.74 for 10 yen, and the selling rate is Rs. 9.78. The Chinese yuan's buying rate is Rs. 22.94, with a selling rate of Rs. 23.03. The Saudi Arabian riyal has a buying rate of Rs. 40.97 and a selling rate of Rs. 41.13. The Qatari riyal’s buying rate is Rs. 42.22, and the selling rate is Rs. 42.38.
The central bank also provided rates for the Thai baht, UAE dirham, Malaysian ringgit, South Korean won, Swedish krona, and Danish krone. Additionally, rates for the Hong Kong dollar, Kuwaiti dinar, Bahraini dinar, and Omani riyal were listed. For 100 Indian rupees, the buying rate is Rs. 160, and the selling rate is Rs. 160.15.
The bank noted that these exchange rates are subject to revision at any time if necessary. It is important to note that the rates set by commercial banks may differ, and the updated rates are available on the central bank’s website.
