Nepal Rastra Bank Updates Foreign Exchange Rates for Major Currencies
Nepal Rastra Bank has announced the updated foreign exchange rates for various global currencies effective today. The central bank set the buying rate for one US dollar at Rs 153.78 and the selling rate at Rs 154.38. For the euro, the rates are Rs 172.32 for buying and Rs 172.99 for selling. The British pound sterling is priced at Rs 203.32 for buying and Rs 204.11 for selling.
The Swiss franc, Australian dollar, and Canadian dollar have been fixed at Rs 185.50, Rs 107.03, and Rs 107.95 for buying, respectively, and Rs 186.22, Rs 107.45, and Rs 108.37 for selling. The Singapore dollar stands at Rs 120.12 for buying and Rs 120.59 for selling. Rates for the Japanese yen, Chinese yuan, and Saudi Arabian riyal are also specified, along with several other major currencies.
The Nepal Rastra Bank noted that these exchange rates may be revised as needed and that rates quoted by commercial banks could differ. Updated rates will be available on the central bank’s official website.
