New Zealand Economy Expands Modestly Amid Global Uncertainty
New Zealand's economy expanded by a modest 0.2% in the second quarter, according to official data released on Thursday.
This growth was better than analysts' forecast of a 0.1% rise and the Reserve Bank of New Zealand's prediction of no growth at all.
The annual GDP increased 2.6%, outperforming market expectations of a 2.2% increase, Statistics New Zealand data showed.
