New Zealand's Raylene Siale Liufalani Takes Reins as Cambodia Ambassador

The Prime Minister of Cambodia, Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei HUN Manet, received a courtesy call from Her Excellency Raylene Siale Tagaloa Liufalani, Ambassador of New Zealand to Cambodia. During the meeting on 28 September 2026 at the Peace Palace, the Ambassador expressed her delight at being appointed as the new Ambassador and praised the strong relations and cooperation between New Zealand and Cambodia.

The Ambassador highlighted that New Zealand takes pride in its contributions to Cambodia's socio-economic recovery, nation-building, and development. She also underscored the excellent bilateral cooperation in key sectors such as demining, water resource management, climate change, agriculture, and education.

Samdech Thipadei congratulated the Ambassador on her appointment and expressed confidence that relations between the two countries would continue to flourish during her tenure. He noted that both countries still have considerable potential to strengthen their ties.

The meeting also explored new opportunities for bilateral cooperation in sectors such as economy, trade, technology transfer, renewable energy, tourism, and human resource development.
