Nidec Corp Posts ¥564.6 Billion Net Loss Amid Accounting Scandals

Nidec Corp., a major Japanese motor maker embroiled in accounting and quality irregularity scandals, suffered a consolidated net loss of 564.6 billion yen in fiscal 2025, which ended in March this year.

The company's securities report showed that the red ink came as the Nidec group logged an impairment loss of 632.2 billion yen.

An audit company issued a disclaimer of opinion on the report, submitted to the Kanto Regional Finance Bureau on September 30.
