Nigeria Hosts First Diaspora Investment Conference in Canada
Nigeria is set to host its first Diaspora Investment Economic Conference in Toronto, Canada from August 12 to 15. The conference, themed 'Invest Nigeria, Thrive Abroad,' aims to strengthen economic ties between Nigeria and Canada.
The Federal Government delegation, led by Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, will represent Nigeria at the conference. Other key figures attending include Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum, Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo, Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang, and Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal.
The conference will focus on key sectors of Nigeria's economy, including agriculture, technology, manufacturing, infrastructure, energy, healthcare, and the digital economy. The event is being organized by the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) in collaboration with the Nigerian High Commission in Ottawa and the Canadian High Commission in Abuja.
