Nigerian Naira Eases Amid Slight Liquidity Squeeze

The Nigerian naira weakened to close at N1,329 per US dollar on Friday in the foreign exchange market due to tightened liquidity conditions.

According to trading data, FX transactions fluctuated between N1,328 and N1,331 per US dollar at the official window.

The US dollar turnover at the official window fell 17.7% to $2.25 billion, while the naira eased 0.06% to ₦1,329.51, according to AIICO Capital Limited's commentary note.
